The Society for Performing Arts in Houston is the largest non-profit organization of its kind in the entire Southwest and brings to Houston players and arts from around the world to complement the significant resident performing arts companies who call Houston home.

Jones Hall is the primary venue for SPA performances and was created thanks to the generosity of Jesse Jones, a notable Houston philanthropist and patron of the arts. This is one of the most spectacular grand opera houses to have been opened in the 20th Century anywhere in the world and is the centerpiece for virtually every artistic performance in Houston. One of the main venues which forms the heart of Houston’s socialite community, Jones Hall and the SPA have worked together for decades in order to further the audience for the performing arts within the wider community and many of the programs for community outreach have been initiated by the SPA and managed by their team.

Though Houston boasts Symphony, Opera and Ballet companies they enjoy a very hectic schedule which includes touring internationally and there were initially many nights when Jones Hall was simply going to be empty. The SPA’s mission was to fill many of these nights with a schedule which brings the very best in the performing arts to Houston from all across the globe.

You are likely to find recitals by acclaimed musicians from Europe, the Far East and elsewhere in the world and the United States as well as world famous ballets and orchestras regularly filling the Jones Hall program but home grown artists are not neglected either with performances from indigenous talent from across the United States included.

Located in downtown Houston, you will find ample and easy parking available while there are plenty of other attractions and amenities on hand. Numerous restaurants and hotels are to be found in the district with excellent bars and opportunities for pre- and post-show diversions. If you do not wish to venture outside you can enjoy fine dining within the venue as part of a complete package of an evening’s entertainment.

Tickets for events are usually in high demand and you should check with the venue management and the SPA website for availability and any changes in the schedule as many surprise guests are added to the venue’s scheduling at short notice.

The forthcoming year (2008-2009 season) includes performances by Houston’s own Symphony Orchestra who call Jones Hall home and performances of Handel’s Messiah will compete alongside the likes of China’s Divine Performing Arts Touring Company, The Batsheva Dance Company from Israel, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, France and many others. It isn’t all highbrow performances as you can also enjoy an evening of standup comedy with Bill Cosby or enjoy James Galway, the Irish flautist who has attracted international popular acclaim.

The SPA is a role model for many of performing arts organizations in the country and relies on donations for its work throughout Houston. Many performances are used to support the work of local artists and performers in order to keep alive and enhance the cultural traditions that have take root in Houston since it’s founding in the 1830’s.

The Aronoff Center for the Performing Arts is a huge performing arts center situated in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. In general, the Aronoff Center for the performing arts hosts events some of which include plays, pop music concerts, ballet, musicals and stand-up comedy shows. The Aronoff Center for the Performing Arts was designed by world famous architect Cesar Pelli. The Aronoff Center for the Performing Arts was opened to the public in October 1995.

The Aronoff Center for the Performing Arts is at 650 Walnut Street, and has a capacity of 3306 seats which includes three theatres. The three theatres are namely the Procter and Gamble Hall, Jason-Kaplan Theater and Fifth Third Bank Theater.

There are also meeting and reception room available at the Aronoff Center for the Performing Arts. Places available for rehersals are also there, the Alice F. and Harris K. Weston Art Gallery is also present at the Aronoff Center for the Performing Arts.

The Procter and Gamble Hall is the biggest theatre, and has 2, 719 seats, high-tech sound and lighting systems, well equipped stage and a wondrous ceiling placed with 3, 000 fiber optic lenses that work in unison to create a starlight effect. The Jason-Kaplan Theater has 437 seats. The Fifth Third Bank Theater has 150 seats and is a studio theatre.

If one is going to the Cincinnati area for a trip an ideal Cincinnati hotel would be the Millennium Hotel Cincinnati for a relaxed stay in the area. Staying a day or two will give one more time seeing the wonderful sites in and around this area.

Inb Performing Arts Center: IXS

The INB Performing Arts Center is the premier entertainment venue in the Spokane Region. It is owned and operated by the Spokane Public Facilities District. The venue has capacity of 2,700-seats.

The standard hours of operation for the Spokane Convention Center Administrative Offices are 8:00am

to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. All Exhibitors are ready when the doors are scheduled to open to the

public. It is done for the safety reasons. Also No vehicles of any kind can be moved in the Spokane Convention Center during the hours when the show is open to the public.

The cleaning of public areas, restrooms and meeting rooms is included in your basic room rental fee

when the areas are utilized for standard purposes.

All lobbies and circulation areas are considered common areas and generally not under Licensee control. All activities using common areas are subject to prior written approval and must take into consideration the requirement of all licensees simultaneously utilizing the building. Submit detailed floor plans with specifications to your Event Supervisor. Approval will be granted within 30 days prior to the Event.

Pay telephones are conveniently located throughout the facility and meet ADA requirements.

The venue is equipped with simultaneous translation equipment that may be used in any room on campus.

I am guessing this is for young kids not high school level. They don’t uses assistant teachers there. I think you should call and ask if you will be asked to demonstrate any performing skills, and if so, what would you need to be prepared to show them. That will give you an idea of how you might dress. If this is just an initial interview, I suggest dress as you would for any other job interview.
