What is the best acting school/classes for beginners in NJ?
I’m a teenager and I don’t have a lot of acting experience (none) so what would the best acting school or class be for me?
Hey!
I used to live in new Jersey!! But now I live in California . . .
Anyways, try to start small, so I recommend a local town class. Continue taking classes till you’ve gained a lot of experience and audition for school and town plays too!
Good luck!!!!!

is it true that New York Film Academy and Stella Adler School for acting is the best place to learn acting?
i am planning to pursue my dream to be an actress. i am totally clueless of what to do. do i really have to study at an acting school just to make it to hollywood?
There’s no such thing as "best" in this kind of a discussion, and anybody who tells you otherwise really doesn’t know what they’re talking about. There are dozens — hundreds — of good actor training programs out there, and the "best" one FOR YOU is the one where you’ll get the sort of training and environment you need.
You need to start collecting information on various actor training centers, and then start visiting them. TALK to the teachers, and see who you connect with. Ask to sit in on classes, so that you can observe how the teachers work with the students.
As for your other question…no, you don’t "have to" study at acting school to be an actor. But, believe me, if you’re coming out here to Los Angeles, and you’re not a trained performer, all you’re gonna do is stand in line with about 10 million OTHER people who have the same idea. Do yourself a favor, and LEARN the craft before you expect to make a career of it.
Good luck.
Is acting school the same as studying thearte at univeristy?
Is studying acting at a acting school and doing a bachelor of arts with a major in thearte the same thing and which is better?
acting school would be more intense in the work for acting. You would probably have classes that would go into subject matter such as Alexandrian Theory, Method Acting, THeatre History, etc. in much more depth than in college.
An acting school really just trains you to be an actor, with all the skills and in-depth understanding of the theatre arts.
majoring in theatre would be focused as well, but obviously you would be obligated to take classes in other subjects as well. This is the best choice if you are unsure if you really want to be professional actor; you also learn about other subjects that could help you in life.
it also depends on the college, because some might have a much more intense programme (such as NYU, or Catholic University of America) and could be just as rewarding as an acting school.

Do we need to be into Acting school to get an agent?
Do we have to BE into acting school to get an agent? Cause one day, a person came up to me and said taht they wanted me to audition for a commericial, without an agent. Then book it.
Is it possible?
Not only is it possible, but it happens every day. Unfortunately people are also taken in scams every day as well. You have to understand that when an agent decides to take you on as a client, they are putting a tremendous amount of faith in you that you will be able to sell yourself to casting directors and producers, which in turn makes them money.
Agents love to see clients and perspective clients that are actively involved in taking classes and perfecting their craft as opposed to sitting around waiting for calls for auditions. This is a profession in which you need to be proactive and opposed to reactive.
Commercials are often times all about "the look" they need to sell a product. Maybe you have it and it’s exactly what they are looking for. Go to the audition, but go in with open eyes. If they ask you for money up front, tell you that you need to work with a particular photographer to get headshots or a particular agent for representation, then run don’t walk out of there. On the flip side of that coin, if they are legit and they want to book you for a gig than congratulations! All the best!

I believe that going to an acting school will enhance your acting abilities, therefore making you a better actor which will lead to getting bigger roles which will lead to bigger roles in bigger productions/ movies which might, if you are either really good or really lucky, lead to fame.
