Best windows backup

If you select Automated System Recovery Wizard you are asked on the next screen only about the destination of the best windows backup where it would be created. You can choose whatever name and location you want. Important is to have enough free space on that drive. Completing the Automated System Recovery Preparation Wizard is just the final stage. When you click on Finish the program will begin analyzing and then the backup operation will begin. The backup is made in one single file which is having *.bkf extension. The process is taking about 10 minutes but could be also less. After the image of the operating system is made you are asked to insert the floppy disk. This is used to if your system fails to boot and you must boot from the Windows XP installation CD. The floppy will help you start the rescue program and restore your backup image. After all it's done you can remove the floppy from it's drive. You can also do scheduled automated backups with Schedule Jobs. But I think that one in the most cases it's enough to have. I t is also recommended you backup the registry file to another computer or to a diskette or CD. Sometimes when the windows registry is corrupted, you may not be able to boot into windows at all.
